Douglas A Gribskov, DVM
Dr. Gribskov, an Oregon State and UC Davis alumni, has been with the Aloha Dog & Cat Hospital since 1978. He has owned Aloha Dog & Cat since 1985 when he purchased the practice from his father, Neil. While enjoying all aspects of veterinary work, his special interests are surgery and reproductive health.

Lisa M Thrower, DVM
Dr. Thrower has been with Aloha Dog & Cat Hospital since graduating from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She likes to be associated with a hospital that provides excellent health care and preventative medicine throughout a patient’s lifetime, as well as offer up-to-date diagnostic testing and treatment for ill pets. Dr. Thrower has two long haired cats and a whippet to keep herself, her husband, and her young family company at home.

Heather L Hershey, DVM
Dr. Hershey grew up in Salem and received her veterinary degree from OSU/WSU in 1993 and has been at Aloha Dog and Cat Hospital since 2001. She enjoys all aspects of small animal practice and is really interested in preventative medicine, client education and strengthening the bond between people and their pets. When she is off work, she enjoys walking and hiking with her dog, Sara, working in the garden, and playing with her cat, Scout.

Lisa L McGarvey, DVM
Originally from North Dakota,
Dr. McGarvey graduated from the University of Minnesota Veterinary School in 1999. She found her way to Oregon after graduation and joined Aloha Dog and Cat in 2001. As a veterinarian, Lisa enjoys being able to provide compassion and knowledge to her clients to allow them to make informed decisions regarding their pet’s care. It is rewarding for her to be able to practice in an environment that supports excellent medicine and preventive care. Her free time is usually occupied by spending time with her wonderful family which includes a great husband and new baby boy, as well as her furry children, a yellow lab, a golden retriever and two cats. Someday she hopes to get back to her other hobbies of snowboarding, running marathons and hiking.

Kate Gribskov, DVM
Dr. Kate Gribskov is a 2005 graduate of Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine. She started her career in veterinary medicine at Cornelius Veterinary Clinic in Cornelius, Oregon. She joined Aloha Dog and Cat Hospital as a veterinarian in June of 2008, though she has worked here for her dad as long as she can remember! Dr. Gribskov has special interest in dermatology and pain management. In her free time, she keeps busy traveling, skiing,and hiking with her lab, Murphy.

Dr. Jennifer Leddy
Dr. Jennifer Leddy was raised in South Florida and attended Tulane University in New Orleans for her undergraduate degree. She received her DVM from University of Florida in 1993. Dr. Leddy moved to Oregon right after graduation to be near anything green! Her veterinary interests include the human animal bond, the Delta Society, preventive medicine, internal medicine and some oncology.
“I live with the most generous and loving husband in the world, 2 incredible young kids, a young black lab, a neurotic miniature husky and 2 fat orange cats. I have served on various boards including the PVMA and the PCC Veterinary Technician Advisory Board. I practiced at two hospitals in the Portland area before purchasing Valley Pet Hospital 11 years ago. I am thrilled to be merging with a team of experienced doctors in a state-of-the-art facility at
Aloha Dog and Cat.”
